Discussions about prospective Zoning Bylaw modifications pertaining to the following topics:

  1. Affordable Housing (these are suggestions for possible zoning bylaw amendments)
  1. Create a 10% (or a little more) affordable housing requirement for all new Open Space Residential Developments (OSRD)
  1. Modify the density bonus requirements so that the affordable housing option is utilized instead of cash donations for amenities
  1. Create more flexibility in the residential districts for multifamily rental apartments or for more 2 or 3 family homes with special permit approval or even site plan approval by the Planning Board. 
  1. New State requirements for multifamily development in MBTA communities.
  1. Address conflict between the definitions of multifamily housing and townhomes.
  1. Address issues pertaining to Special permit requirement for reduced frontage lots.
  1. Consideration of a minimum lot area threshold for Open Space Residential Development subdivision lots.
