The Rowley Recycling Center will be closing after Saturday, December 29, 2018.

Due to sky-rocketing recycling costs, the Rowley Recycling Center will be closing after Saturday, December 29, 2018. The Town does not have sufficient funds to continue operating the center. Town Officials are evaluating the program and looking for a suitable location on Town-owned land to establish a secured facility. Any questions, please call the Selectmen’s Office at 978-948-2372.

Options available to residents:

1) Contact your local trash hauler for information on recycling options

2) Bring your recycling items to Mello Transfer Station, 203 East Main Street (Route 133), Georgetown. For more information call 978-352-8581.

Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.; Friday, Saturday, Sunday – 7:30 a.m. to noon

Septic System Loans Available at 2%

The Board of Health, through the Mass Water Pollution Abatement Trust, has funds available for loans at 2 percent to Rowley homeowners for assistance repairing failed septic systems. Please contact the Board of Health office at 978-948-2231 for more information and fund availability.
