Mission Statement	The mission of the Rowley Municipal Lighting Plant is to provide reliable and cost effective energy services, in a responsible, courteous and efficient manner, which meets the current and future needs of its customers. In support of the mission, the Department is committed to the following: Customers-The Department will continually strive to remain customer-focused and always seek to improve the way in which we deliver services to our customers. Employees-The Department will maintain a safe and positive work environment and provide the opportunity for professional and personal development. Power Supply-The Department has developed and will maintain a reliable and secure supply of electric energy at competitive rates. Physical Plant-The Department will engineer, construct and maintain an electrical distribution system and related facilities and equipment, which will meet current and future customer needs and requirements. Community Service-The Department will participate in community outreach and education programs to promote good public relations and customer service.

ROWLEY LIGHT HAS PARTNERED WITH THE SALVATION ARMY
Along with 22 other Massachusetts energy companies, Rowley Municipal Lighting Plant is now a sponsor of the Massachusetts Good Neighbor Energy Fund (GNEF). Administered by The Salvation Army, the fund brings assistance to any Massachusetts resident who – due to temporary financial difficulty – cannot meet a month’s energy expense and is not eligible for state or federal energy assistance, but falls within the income guidelines as established by the GNEF. Last year the Massachusetts GNEF helped more than 2,725 families pay an electric, gas or oil bill. The fund’s goal for 2007-08 is $600,000 and The Salvation Army is already beginning to see a rise in the number of phone calls from families in need. We hope you’ll consider giving the “Gift of Warmth” by sending a contribution in the enclosed green donation envelope that will be mailed with electric bills this February. Extra envelopes will remain available at the Light Department office. Your tax deductible donation, made payable to the “Good Neighbor Energy Fund,” goes straight to the Fund, and The Salvation Army sees that your contribution helps a family in need of energy assistance.
