2002 Pingree Farm $1,000,000.00
May 13, 2002 Annual Town Meeting Article #5

The Board of Selectmen and Conservation Commission received an appropriation of $1,000,000.00 to purchase these 27.6 acres +/- known as the Pingree Farm. This parcel met many identifies goals and priorities associated with open space Protection: the parcel abuts Town water source that is important to protect from development.


2005 Flint Land $67,500.00
May 2, 2005 Special Town Meeting Article #17

The Board of Selectmen and Parks and Recreation Committee received an appropriation of $67,000.00 to purchase 1.1 acres +/- of backland located at 217 Main Street. Purchase of this land allows the Parks and Recreation Committee to expand the Town’s playing fields at the Pine Grove School.


2006 Todd Farm $2,500,000.00
May 1, 2006 Special Town Meeting Article #26

The Board of Selectmen and Conservation Commission received an appropriation of $2,500,000.00 to purchase these 33 acres +/- known as the Todd Farm.

The Town vote to rescind Article #26 of the May 1, 2006 Special Town Meeting Warrant.


2012 Massachusetts Audubon Society $250,000.00

May 16, 2011 Annual Town Meeting Article #18

The Town of Rowley Conservation Commission,  Massachusetts Audubon Society and Essex County Greenbelt Association received an appropriation of $250,000.00 to purchase a permanent Conservation Restriction from the Massachusetts Audubon Society, covering 75.86 acres of property in the Great Marsh. 


2015 Purchase of the Girl Scout Camp  $2,500,000.00
May 4,2015 Special Town Meeting Article #14

The Board of Selectmen are authorized to purchase a parcel of land known as the Girl Scout Camp Map 18 Lot 7 of approximately 206 acres. The purposes are for acquisition, creation, and preservation of Open Space, Recreational Use and Outdoor Education.
