Harmonica Workshop
Saturday, July 14, 10-11:30am
Ages 9 through Adult Welcome

Learn to play the harmonica! This workshop is for adults and children ages 9 and up. You will walk away knowing how to play a song! Mike and Beverly will teach you several simple songs and basic techniques, so you will be able to continue to learn on your own. Mike Rogers has been playing the harmonica since he was 15, and Mike and Beverly have been presenting these workshops for the past 30 years, from Maine to Georgia and throughout the Bahamas. Harmonicas donated by the Friends of the Library (yours to keep) or bring your own!

Genealogy club meets 2nd Monday each month, 6-8 PM

Interested in researching your family history? Start with yourself! Feel free to join us from 6-8 PM on the 2nd Monday every month in the Local History Room for meetings of the Genealogy Club, where like-minded researchers can make use of the Library’s resources, share ideas, and make progress on family stories. No experience necessary. No expert on hand, but those who have been working on this for a while will help you get started.

The Library now has subscriptions to genealogy research sites Ancestry.com and Heritage Quest.

Adult yoga classes meet Wednesday evenings from 5:30-7 pm

If better fitness, wellness, or mindfulness are among your goals, try yoga! Our instructor is Elissa Shoreman, founder and owner of Buddhaful Souls Yoga Studio. Poses increase flexibility, strength and balance, and help to focus the mind while expanding the spirit.

No registration required—All fitness levels welcome! Wear comfy clothes and bring a mat if you have one and any other props you like. Sponsored by the Friends of the Rowley Public Library.

Friends members—$10 per class; Non-Friends members- $12 per class

Knitting Group Tuesdays 6:30-8 pm

Join us for a knitting group on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 - 8 pm. This is not a class - but beginners are welcome. We will all help each other. Bring projects you are working on.
